La maza y la cantera. Juventud vasca, represión y solidaridad

Basque youth has expressed its aspirations and political and social claims in many and diverse ways, suffering an exacerbated and arbitrary repressive reaction by the State: criminalization of youth’s public activities, police farces, massive halting, tortures, inquisitorial trials, criminal prison policies… Besides, as if it were a chain, the state reaction has increased the action of thousands of people, mainly of mothers and fathers, in defence of some rights that they consider elementary and they feel constantly trampled and denied to their children. Although there have been global socio-political measures for the resolution of this situation of conflict, the State flees from these mechanisms. It prefers to continue with its repressive action.
